War on Women, the feminist punk rock band from Baltimore, gave an electrifying performance at Fest last October. Known for their high-energy music and politically charged lyrics, War on Women brought their unique brand of activism to the stage, whipping the crowd into a frenzy with songs about gender inequality, reproductive rights, and the patriarchy. Lead singer Shawna Potter’s powerful vocals and engaging stage presence held the audience hostage, while the band’s tight musicianship kept everyone dancing and moshing throughout their set. It was an unforgettable performance that Fest goers will be talking about for a long time and further cemented War on Women’s reputation as one of the most important and necessary voices in punk rock.
