The Linda Lindas and Bacchae perform “Rebel Girl” by Bikini Kill [Video]

This past summer, The Linda Lindas and Bacchae joined forces in Washington D.C. to sing the riot grrrl classic, “Rebel Girl.” It was an incredible performance with tons of energy – one that would definitely make Bikini Kill proud.

The Left of the Dial crew captured the performance at The Black Cat on July 7th, 2022. First released as a Patreon exclusive, the video is now up on YouTube for all to see. Watch below.

The Linda Lindas are a rock group from Los Angeles who made a name for themselves in 2021 after a video of them performing “Racist, Sexist Boy” in a public library went viral. Since then, they’ve been featured on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series and have performed with legends like Alice Bag, Phranc, and Bikini Kill themselves. In 2023, The Linda Lindas will open for Paramore on select dates of their North American tour. Check out their latest album, Growing Up, released last April via Epitaph records.

Bacchae are Left O’ favorites – we had them in for a live session last year, so be sure to check that out on YouTube and bandcamp if you haven’t already. Bacchae (pronounced Bock-Eye) are from Washington D.C. and combine elements of punk, new wave, surf rock, and riot grrrl to create their own unique brand of fierce yet catchy anthems. Highly recommend Bacchae if you want to hear songs that sound like The B-52’s meet Bratmobile.
