The When We Were Young festival was just announced, and I need to take a deep breath. The event is described by promoters as a “return to the golden age of emo music,” and boasts Paramore and My Chemical Romance as headliners.
Other bands slated to play include AFI, Taking Back Sunday, Dashboard Confessional, Bring Me the Horizon, A Day to Remember, Avril Lavigne, Jimmy Eat World, The Used, Pierce the Veil, Alkaline Trio, Manchester Orchestra, Boys Like Girls, The All American Rejects, Car Seat Headrest, and many many more. I mean, this line-up is so good, I had to double check to make sure it wasn’t a hoax. But no, pretty much every 2000s emo band really is playing this show.
The all-day festival will take place at the Las Vegas Fairgrounds on October 22nd. The ticket pre-sale opens at 10am PST on January 21st. When We Were Young Festival’s general admission price is $224.99, though there are payment plans available starting at $19.99 down. VIP and Hotel Packages are also available.
