Worriers Announce Album, Warm Blanket, Share Single “Pollen in the Air”

Worriers has announced a new album, Warm Blanket, out April 7th on Ernest Jenning Record Co. Warm Blanket is the fourth full-length from the project of Lauren Denitzio and marks their first time releasing a Worriers album as a solo act. Along with the announcement, Denitzio has shared a lyric video for the first single, “Pollen in the Air.” The song was co-written with David Combs, and the video features illustrations drawn and animated by Lauren. Denitzio’s lyrics are, as always, thoughtful and introspective, showing a careful attunement to unique and evocative sense-images (e.g., “Laying in the dirt and grass mess / in the leaves, a makeshift mattress / We were never good at this / but we’re getting there“). It’s a dreamy and ethereal track, a shift from the more straightforward two guitars, bass, and drums format fans may be used to from past releases, but the sound is still distinctly Worriers.

You can check out the video below and pre-order the album now.
